The Businesswomen Council discusses a program plan to promote women's investment activity in the region.

In its meetings last week, the Executive Council of the Chamber of Commerce's Business Women discussed the plans and initiatives of Asharqia Chamber during the second half of this year to strengthen and support women's investment activity in the Eastern Province. It has been done through encouraging businesswomen to invest their capital in value-added projects that diversify the economic base and open up new opportunities for the recruitment of national women's capabilities.

Maram Al-jishi, the President of the Council, noted that the most important initiatives currently under way by the Council are supporting businesswomen to invest in the sectors of industry and information technology, in addition to the cosmetic and fashion sectors, and to seek to overcome the difficulties that might impede this trend.

She added that the council will work to activate the participation of businesswomen in international and local forums through participation in delegations, visits and conferences, which would be highlighting the role of businesswomen in the Eastern region in media and socially as well, and developing the mechanism of communication with the business community and ensuring equal opportunities.

The Executive Council for Businesswomen aims to activating the women's investment movement in the Eastern Region, contribute to raising the awareness of businesswomen about the economic aspects of regulations, procedures and others, and keep them constantly informed about developments related to women's work.

This has been done through studying the problems and difficulties faced businesswomen in the business sector and proposing appropriate solutions to them and working to raise them to the concerned bodies through the Chamber, as well as studying the effects of the regulations in force and the presentation of views in the case of referral from the concerned authorities in the State to Asharqia Chamber in order to take the opinion of the Chamber's subscribers.

It addition, it has been done though clarifying their aspects and their positive and negative effects on the performance of the sector's facilities now and in the future and making recommendations or suggestions for the development of these systems.
